Meet the Pink Shoelaces, a hot country/rock band from the Florida Gulf Coast. PSL began as an brother/sister acoustic duo with Jay and Shannon Egler. Both Jay and Shannon are amazing vocalists and their vocal harmonies are magic! Jayâs incredible guitar skills set the backdrop for PSL. Jay got his first guitar when he was 12 years along with a book of the top 100 rock songs of all time. Soon Jay began writing his own songs with a style that ranges from driving rock to beautiful ballads. He came up with the name of the band because he really does wear Pink Shoelaces.

Shannon is primarily a vocalist, though she also backs up Jay on guitar. By the time she was 8, she was wowing audiences at campgrounds and festivals. When singing Celine Dion's âMy Heart Will Go On,â she frequently brings tears to the eyes of listeners, following up by energizing the audience with Gretchen Wilsonâs âRed Neck Woman!â Shannon is frequently invited to sing The National Anthem at various community events.

Next came drummer Patrick Lima, âBig Pat.â Patrick is Jayâs best friend and next door neighbor. In their very early teens, Jay and Patrick started a five-piece rock band called âRadioActiveMaterial (RAM). When the brother/sister duo needed a larger sound to be able to perform songs by new country stars such as Jason Aldean and Little Big Town, Patrick was a natural choice for drum action. Patrick keeps the perfect rhythm and style whether playing âHicktownâ or LBTâs âBring It On Home.â

Tony Rizzo, the one and only adult in PSL adds some hot bass licks to the sound! Tony has played drums for 30+ years in high-profile bands from California and Florida. He enjoys the energy that comes with a teen band that also maintains a high degree of musical proficiency and professionalism. Charlotte Lewis adds some fancy fiddle riffs to the PSL sound. Charlotte is a champion fiddle player who competes throughout Florida in both classical and bluegrass competitions!
