Hello! I'm d michael matney. I grew up on the Allman Brothers, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, BB King, and all the Blues/Rock greats of the 60's and 70's. Every music style I pursue I still keep the blues element of spontaneity and improvisation on the forefront. I think this helps keep God in the picture to guide the music instead of relying on myself for all the notes. I have always said when it comes especially to the lyrics that I don't write them, I just write them down. I don't have any problem giving God all the credit for my songs and abilities.

This CD is the culmination of 7 original Blues/Rock tunes along with 4 cover tunes of old standards done in a completely different way. I hope that God can be glorified with this project and everything I do.

I am joined by my son on guitar and bass and my daughter on vocals. A young man that recently joined our church is playing the drums on all but two of the songs. A man that I only know as RAMI did the drum track on The Color of Freedom.

My son and I share the duties on the guitars and bass. I do some percussion, all keyboards, and harmonica.
