Singer/songwriter Patrick James Flynn displays his unique vocal and lyric style on this collection of new songs just released on the Silverado label. Patrick's ability to weave vivid and complex imagery with powerful musicianship and haunting melodies has never been more dramatically exposed. With help from long time music industry heavyweights Jim Pugh (Robert Cray, Etta James) on keyboards, David Rokeach (Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin) on drums, and Leonard Gill (BB King, John Lee Hooker) on bass, Patrick has infused some very original songs with the soul and flavor of rock&roll, R&B, blues, jazz, and Americana. With some stunning finishing touches by Bay Area saxophone giant Mel Martin, as well as dynamic background vocals from TJ Frisby, and a spine tingling contribution from violin virtuoso Mardell Mardeaux (Collins&Levine), this melting pot of musical styles is truly an outstanding combination of spirits.
