This music combines the heavy, rhythmic foundation of funk with the slick, melodic overtones of jazz - all influenced by R&B/Soul, Gospel and Rock. It is too hard to be "smooth," but not hard enough to be "fusion". I just call it SMOOTH FUSION.

October 14th, 2005. It is a day I will never forget as long as I live. It was the day my life took a turn for the worst. It was the culmination of all of my mistakes. It was the day I entered the abyss of uncertainty, fear, anger, hatred, sadness and just about everything you could imagine. I never saw my life taking such a drastic turn, but it did.

As I sat there wondering where all my potential had gone, all the hopes and dreams and all of the work I had done up to that point, I sulked in self-pity and loathing. I didn't know where to turn or who was really on my side. Where was I to go from there? Only 6 days removed from my 29th birthday, I was in a place I could have never imagined. I truly made a pilgrimage to Hell. Words are insufficient to describe the experience.

I lost everything: I was flat broke, unemployed, out of my domain in a myriad of ways. I had just moved to a foreign town. I was a new father. I had nothing and hung my hopes on the family I was building at the time. I soon realized that the future I envisioned was gone and I was too far away from anyone or anything that had any true value.

Today, a year later, I have released this cd in celebration of my freedom, health and happiness, and as living proof that nothing can stop you from doing whatever you are on this Earth to do. Without the help of Myles and Shirley Dunn, Ric and Jeri Buchwald and Timothy Hayes, I would not be where I am. THANK YOU!
