Reed KD is a singer-songwriter from a small coastal town in Northern California characterized by his blend of story telling and experimentation. With vocals that draw comparisons to Simon and Garfunkel and Elliott Smith, and instrumentation that draws comparisons to The Shins, Radiohead and The Postal Service, his self-released album "The Ashes Bloom" is a testament to do-it-yourself ethics done right.

Written, produced, recorded and mixed by Reed in various living rooms, bedrooms and closets called home throughout 2006, "The Ashes Bloom" showcases Reed's range as a writer and producer with Cash/Dylan-esque stories coupled with strong melodic and pop sensibilities reminiscent of the Beach Boys or The Flaming Lips.
