I was born in St. Maryâs County, Maryland. When I was four years old, my mother and I moved to Washington, DC. My first intrigue with music started at age nine when I picked up the Flute. Three years later, I studied the woodwinds for four years at the Modern School of Music, in Washington, DC. I studied at Howard University for two and a half years.

I formed a group called Extended. We performed in many venues on the east coast. We performed in cities such as, New York, New Jersey, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Memphis Tennessee, West Virginia, Boston and Washington, DC.

We opened for acts such as, the Commodores, Funkadelics, Dells, Spinners, Kool & The Gang, Ohio Players and Bill Withers.

As time went by, the group disbanded. I then formed a group known as Matrixx. After producing, co-producing and writing songs for both former groups, Extended and Matrixx, this was the deciding factor that influenced me to start writing my own style of music. Influenced by, Rock, Rhythm and Blues, Soul, Pop, Jazz and Funk, I developed a sound I called âGroove Soulâ. A sound that encompasses message, lyrics and solid hooks with a distinctive groove, one I believe is unique and unmatched by other sounds of today. I hope that you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating the music.
