Rita Rose is a miracle, a diamond in the rough as she battled cancer at age 19, with the removal of her thyroid. She fought back through a long rehabilitation period to restore her speaking voice and eventually her singing voice. Remarkably, her new vocals transformed her voice from classic to angelic.

Rita Rose is an accomplished vocalist, lyricist, pianist, song stylist who records and performs classy jazz, blues, and classics from the Great American Songbook to todayâs favorites. Her sultry, sweet ringing voice has pleased thousands as she has toured the USA since the 1980âs playing at renowned resorts, hotels, lounges, cabarets and at private and corporate functions.

Rita Rose presents herself and every performance with empathy for those who have suffered disabilities by singing and playing from the heart. Her every note encompasses the full emotion of feelings held in the lyrics and melody. This unique quality allows Rita Rose to connect emotionally with her audiences and listeners that lift their spirits not capable in any other way.

Ms. Rose graduated 25 years ago with a music degree from Five Towns College on Long Island and still collaborates with her favorite professor Chuck Mymit who is her arranger. Mr. Mymit still instructs at Five Towns College.
