Hi!! I'm Roselani, born and raised in Hawaii. I now reside on the island of Kauai, originally from Oahu.
This is my very first attempt to do anything musical. I first learned to play the bass electric guitar starting in 1995, so I could jamm with my friends. Then, I learned to play the ukulele, starting in June, 1996, so I could sing along. Well, since that day, I have moved on to this day--producing my very own CD!!! My ukulele is my working tool, so I consider my ukulele my dear friend!!
I have created 7 original songs, and have chosen 5 wonderful covertunes as well. So, I think you will enjoy my music, words, tone!!
I have shared my music with many people around the United States and Canada, and Japan and Europe so far. I hope you will check out my songs and enjoy the messages in each song-just for you!! Please comment on my website--I will really appreciate it. Have a wonderful day!! Aloha from Kauai

Aloha to all of my dear friends!!
Well, it's the Holiday season once again and we have so much to be thankful for!! It will be a peaceful time for me and Abraham--a time to review our precious year together and to look forward to a brand new year!
I hope all of my wonderful passenger friends from 2006 cruises and all the prior years' cruisers are in good health!!
My last three cruises(my only cruises for 2006) were a blast!!! Every cruise was exceptional, as always, and my craft classes were awesome!!
Our Hula classes were well presented at our Hula Graduation, proving how well you all can do the Hula!!! Mahalo for supporting me on our cruises by your help and friendship!!
Please continue to write or email me!! I will always respond, as long as my computer is working, haha! Otherwise, it might take me a while to get to the library to use their machine. If you write, I do respond!!!
Hope to hear from you in 2007!!! Take care and God bless you all!!

Update: Feb 1, 2007
Howdee!!! My dear friends,
What a time we had on our Jan 10-20,2007 cruise!!! First of all, one of our dear passengers accidently broke her hip coming down from the Sports Bar on the Wind. It was so unfortunate that she was not able to go on our trip from the start. I do hope she is well on her way to recovery. It's a good thing we were still in Honolulu Harbor, so the ambulance could take her straight to the hospital. I'm sure with all the wonderfual care and expertise at the hospital, she will be fine. God bless her and her nephew who stayed back with her.
Another serious incident that happened was a dangerous sea rescue from a 60' vessel to our rescue boat to our "Wind".
Our Captain announced that a fisherman was seriously injured and by Maritime Law we were obligated to assist. Our passengers were able to watch the amazing rescue of the injured person from one boat to our small craft. We heard that his leg was severed and hanging only by the skin--however, after being attended to on board, his life was saved and his leg was going to be reattached safely once we got him to a hospital.
So, by responding to this distress call, we were not able to make it to Kaua'i and could not reach the nearest port until the next evening.
I believe everyone on board , although disappointed, understood the necessity of our change in plans. And I'm sure a few tears were shed and a lot of prayers were said!
I was able to have a fantastic time at Fanning Island as a
guest, along with the Captain, Chief Engineer, Cruise Director, Hotel Director and our photographer. We were invited to a feast set up by their Tourism Officer, Minnie, who lives on NCL compound on Fanning Island.
We were served lobsters, tropical fruit, island chicken, huge ribs, yams, sweet potato, pastries, etc. I enjoyed eating everything including the lobster head! A young island girl kindly fanned the flies away from my plate the whole time. She was even so kind to get me a pan of soapy water because of the mess I was making. Of course all of this was done sitting on the matting made from hala leaves and coconut leaves, set over the rocks. I shared some of my lobster with that dear girl-- she shyly accepted. After that was all done, I gave her my yellow ribbon lei I was wearing to thank her.
The ladies did a few dances after I powdered each of the dancers and another lady sprayed each of the dancers with perfume . This was important local custom for the dancers.
Later we ALL danced, and danced and there was even a contest of dancing. Then, just before the contest, the sound equipment started to smoke. I mean SMOKE!! We asked them to turn it off, and offered to take it back to the ship to repair. So, then the guitars started to come out and the music started, without the stereo system!!
We received gifts, and speeches from the elders, prayer and more speeches.
What an experience!!! Sitting, dancing and eating with the local people. And no restrooms!!
It was time to go, so we all loaded up on the same truck we came on! On the way, we met a passenger (biker) who was worried that his wife was lost. She had gone ahead of him, and it was some time since he last saw her. We convinced him to come back with us, and Cruise Director, Denny, rode the bike back so he could start the search process.
It took a few more hours before everything was straightened out. The medical nurse was sent back to the island-just in case- and after a thorough search, the female bicyclist was found, a little bruised, but OK.
Now, seriously, we had FUN! Our hula classes was great, the lei making classes were informative and even my impromptu class with my singing with my ukulele went very well.
Our hula graduation was so much fun!! All credit goes to my students who were excellent performers. Give yourselves a pat on the back!! You deserve it!!
It's time to say aloha to all and God bless and care for you always!! Please email me, or leave a comment on my website!! Or write to Roselani PO Box 1103 Kapaa, Hi 96746
Until we meet again,

Update: February 27, 2007
Aloha everyone!!!
It's so nice to be on land on my beautiful island of Kauai! I have been so busy since I came ashore with my daily routine, that I have just now been able to sit and write a few lines.
I had a marvelous cruise Feb 10-21, 2007. Although the water was pretty rough from time to time, I hope everyone enjoyed their time at sea??
We shared good times in our lei making classes and had a ball learning the hula!!! Our students were never too tired to learn a new dance!! I have to say that as rough as the waters were, my hulau haumana were excellent in dancing like true performers!! No matter the age or the size!!! And, I must add that their super efforts to dress themselves up in lei that they made themselves on graduation day proved to be one of the highlites of the Day!!
By the way, can we keep a secret or what??? Weren't our Princesses from the deep, deep, deep South Pacific gorgeous?? Yes, our own hula maidens did not have a clue that our guys were going to change their looks to suit the occasion, haha. They did a super job with no real rehearsal! Good job, guys!!
I have received comments from the audience that our show was well put together and carried out to a T by all of our performers!! People couldn't believe that we had only 2 lessons and 2 rehearsals!! Right??
I would like to say a special hello to all of my passenger students, craft classes and hula classes!! Don't forget to pass on the Aloha Spirit--the same way you did on board the"Wind"!!
Until we meet again, a hui hou!
Don't forget to email me, or write me. I do respond!!
Be safe, and God bless you all!!!
