body was formed in early 1998 with the intention to create a musical style that was ambient and experimental within an alternative rock context.
the first lineup included Mark Nowak on vocals, Jeff Bridi on bass and vocals, Nick Bohensky on guitar, Dan Holmes on keyboards and Dave Wilson on drums.
body recorded their first CD second century using a home studio, learning the finer points of recording along the way.
this first effort proved to be a strong debut for the band, who played several successful shows in 1999 to support the CD.
the year 2000 sees the band as a quartet, with Jeff taking over as lead vocalist for the departed Mark.
their second CD thethinhour is a step forward for the band in both songwriting and recording.
it was written and recorded over 10 months at Rosemont Recordings studio and explores the themes of hope, despair and isolation.
the band plans on a large promotional effort and more live gigs to support the CD in 2001.
