Independent and daring, this band from Los Angeles is a unique brand of rock that is a force to be reckoned with. They are a âcross-overâ band that blends hard rock with hip-hop and jazz.
âSolaczâs music is bad ass and their stage show is exciting to watch,â remarked Gary Abston, an ecstatic fan at a recent show at the Roxy.
This past year Solacz finished their first CD which was produced by Ben Adamson (trumpet/keyboardist) and recorded by Adam Berg. Mark Chalecki mastered it at Capitol Records.
Solacz kicked off the new album by opening up for Staind in Kitzingen, Germany. The single âWatchin Uâ with itâs meaningful lyrics and memorable hook was a huge hit at the show. The band spent the rest of the summer performing for the troops in Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Serbia. The troops loved the band and were very appreciative. âStoopidâ was the favorite among the crowds throughout the tour. Even months after the tour Sam Wright (guitarist) mentioned âI still get emails from soldiers saying how much it meant to them for us to bring them out of the war for one night.â
