They all want a war; all I have is my love, music and energy. So this is what I fight with, these are my guns.

Yo, this album is not perfect, it is basically a demo; white noise, a guitar synthesizer that clips in weird ways, uneven levels on instruments, poor rapping skills,(I am more of a poet than a rapper, I don't smoke enough weed) and other random odds and ends, oh yes I hear them, to reproduce these songs in a real studio, +get them perfect would take more time and money than I have, besides, some of these effects I don't even remember how I made(exactly). Jack Reed's Guns was recorded at my home in my spare time, between jobs and other real stuff, on a Fostex 6-track recorder, and any other equipment I could get my hands on; low, to medium, to high quality recording and musical equipment, mostly the former. What I can't say is there is a producer, an engineer, studio musicians, a studio, voice specialists, schooled jazz musicians, composers on this cd, with M.T.V. and Virgin records to back me up. I'm just a no namer makin music in my spare time, late in the evening, early in the morning (Outer-space was written around 3:45am) I have never sampled anything, don't know how to use one What I can say is (- drumtracks10+13) that I wrote, created, recorded, mixed, engineered, performed or programmed every song or noise of this cd. There are background vocals by Sarah Robinette and The Mehl brothers on Katy Kat, that's it, the rest is me, horns, bass, guitars, keys, drums, vocals, cow bells, junos, strings, organs, trumpets, earthquakes, angels, fairies... Like life there are imperfections, but I hope you enjoy it anyway, and thanks for listening. I like to listen to JRG's after a rough day, it attunes me. Drums are either created with a Roland Elecectribe (tracks 1,5,15,16) MagiX Creation (tracks 3,6,10,11,13,18,19) or a free drum machine of the Internet, HammerHead 1.0, groovy. (tracks 2,4,7,8,9,12,14,17)Synth sounds made using a Roland GR-33, or an old 80's casiothru guitar pedals. .Guitars-99$ Stratocaster, Thomas Mcnaught Pheinox, Ibanez sg rip off. A p-lite bass (thanks stevo) And an ovation Applause and lots of guitar pedals. I have one microphone, its black.

Its not really Raggae, But I feel kinship with the Rasta Brethren and sistren. Raggae is one of the places I get my vibes.
