Details:
Melodic ambient from the heart.

Avaelin is the work of one man who just wanted to make something he would like to listen to. Much of his music is inspired by artists like Jon Jenkins, David Helpling, Apparat, Carbon Based Lifeforms, and the like. There are no gimmicks here. Every song being shared is a song that Avaelin would listen to. Somewhere along the way he thought that perhaps sharing these songs would be worthwhile.

Avaelin came to ambient and electronic music after discovering a variety of ambient artists during difficult times. The music helped him through a number of things and one night, on a whim, he decided to compose a song in the same style. It was rough, uncultured, and poorly mixed. He liked it though. Soon others followed. He sporadically would crank out a new track here and there, usually inspired by something in his day to day life, occasionally spurred on by tracks he heard elsewhere.

Typically a session with Avaelin involves juggling keyboards, laptops, and some form of libation. He hammers on the keys until he captures the sound he wants and then iterates from there, layering drums, pianos, harps, and various pads. It isn't very technical, it is usually a bit sloppy, but it works. Creating swells of sound that sweep you away into another world is the goal, and with Saturnalia Avaelin does his best to bring you to the shores of his imagination.
