The is the first collaboration of the Thornton brothers and contains all original music inspired by the likes of Miles and Coltrane, combined with the family's classical music upbringing.
Bassist/composer Scott Thornton has performed extensively throughout North America, Europe and Russia on double bass and electric bass, as well as horn and trumpet. He performs regularly in and around New York City and has numerous recordings covering a wide range of styles including jazz, classical, world, blues, and pop-rock. Scott's performing groups include The Scott Thornton Jazz Trio, the Scott Thornton Groove Trio, and World View (Jazzmenco) featuring guitarist John LaBarbera and percussionist Yousif Sheronick, performing Brazilian and Mediterranean inspired music. They were featured entertainment at this year's U. S. Open Tennis Tournament. In addition to his numerous jazz outlets, Scott also performs with the Orchestra of the Bronx, Riverside Orchestra, I Giullari di Piazza, and the original pop/rock band Yucca Flats. He is member of Local 802 American Federation of Musicians AFL-CIO. Visit him at:

Dr. Bruce Thornton (clarinet, bass clarinet, alto flute, Ojibwe sumac flute and composer) is director of Jazz Studies and Professor of Woodwinds at the College of St. Benedict and St. John's University in Minnesota. An active professional free-lance musician in the Twin Cities, he is also a clarinet and saxophone clinician for the Selmer Company.
Dann Thornton (piano, flugelhorn and composer) is currently Assistant Professor of Trumpet and Jazz Studies at the University of Minnesota Duluth as well as maintaining his role as music director/arranger/accompanist for vocalist Stephanie Dawn.
Guest drummer J.T. Bates is currently performing in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and around the country.
