Theo Prince is not about what is easier. Theo is not about destruction. Theo is, in fact, something of a rarity in this world which is caught up by conflicting emotions and obsessed with ease and the instantaneous. As our world becomes increasingly complex, many people choose to cope through ignorance, apathy, condemnation, or destruction. Theo's music and songwriting reveal a life following a different course. Driven by God and by joy, Theo avoids the shallow irrelevance of much of our pop culture, and struggles to create a life balancing love, pain, frustration, color, and emotion. Theo is about creation. Theo is about guitar.

Speaking about his drive he says "I've always been very moved emotionally by music." While he is sometimes understated, this passion shows through in the music he creates and makes his live shows a powerful and unforgettable experience. While many of his songs are colored by emotion, all retain relevance and a certain depth of insight. Many of his songs are based on personal experiences, while others are based on observation or introspection. A prolific songwriter, Theo has amassed a thick portfolio of songs. His philosophy is that "if you write a ton, you're bound to get something decent.... Maybe most are crap, but there are some real gems."

Currently fronting The Weapons (www.theweapons.com) on guitar and vocals, Theo has always been drawn to the guitar. Theo formed The Weapons in April of 2003. The Weapons have recorded several demo tracks and will put out an EP in fall of 2004. Sad Songs for Sunshine, which was released in February 2004, is Theo's independently produced and recorded debut solo album. Theo is always writing songs and developing music, and this album represents some of his acoustic work apart from The Weapons. Theo continues playing with The Weapons and working on various other projects in Seattle. His ultimate goals are "having a great time playing, meeting new people, and making quality music."
