"The Thin Line" came to light in may 2002 in Varese (Italy) with the name "For Occasion Dress" from an idea by Krystal G. and W. J. Hoffmann. After some line-up problems, the "For Occasion Dress" became "The Thin Line" and in January 2003 the two founder members, remained alone, went in studio recording an ownproduced promo-cd emblematically entitled "Inside The Cage". In november 2003, with the arrival of Jean (a glam rock hand guitar-player), the three rockers prepared more than one hour of live show and during 2004 they played different live concerts around Varese and Milan with great results. In february 2005 the band lost the guitar-player (who chose to perform another kind of music). The same year in september, Vincenzo Rucci, a very good guitar player from Milan, joined TTL and the band played with him at the Festival Perle ai Porci (Casale Corte Cerro - VB); in a second time they prepared to record an EP in italian language. This was the right way which bring the three musicians to produce this new work: 'Crisalide'; which is gonna be ready in the end of september 2006. The sound is more professional than last product and the italian singing gets the lyrics of the songs a more direct impact for the italian listeners. The kind of music is difficult to label because joins different influences: from Iggy Pop to Nirvana, from Pink Floyd to Tiamat, from Kiss to Ramones; an italian gothic rock style with a goth/glam look which gives to the band something misterious and shocking. After the recording Vincenzo left the project for job problems. After a short time with Snake (session guitar-player) on the guitar, TTL finally find the ideal substitute in Jean (frontman & guitarist of The Black Cats come back to play with the band after 18 months) which with Veleno (bassist of the horror rock band "Killerfreaks") and F. W. Ryan (ex keyboard-player of the prog rock band "QIT" completes the official line-up. Now "The Thin Line" are preparing the live shows for a promotional tour which will see them on the road to promote the new musical work.
