When looking up the meaning of revolution in the dictionary, several explanations are defined. Some vastly different, especially a momentous change in a situation compared to that of a single complete cycle of such orbital or axial motion. But what brings it all together is that the word revolution is about a significant change and motion. Revolution, is the appropriately titled soon to be released EP from 21 year old Californian born artist Tim Myers.

Music has been a presence in Tims life since an early age, being compelled by piano at five and mastering classical piano by thirteen. Guitar and bass were introduced to Tim by age fourteen, which brought him to his first band, Limousine (Interscope Records), to his most current role in OneRepublic (Columbia Records). Tim, now a solo artist, has been making his presence known extending himself to major artists of present day, doing studio work and co-writing for such artists as, Gwen Stefani, Natalie Imbroglia, Lindsay Lohan & More.

He has now taken his love of History with his passion for music combined with his political beliefs and transformed this into a collection of songs that just had to be written. Channeling the ghosts of musics past with John Lennon and Bob Dylan and keeping with the spirit of giving peace a chance, Revolution brings you a few steps forward to his movement.

This Debut release, produced by Mikal Blue (Carrie Underwood, Five For Fighting, The Offspring) Ken Caillat (Fleetwood Mac, Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie), Dave Bassett (Sparta, Lisa Loeb, Evan & Jaron) and all instruments played by that of brainchild Tim Myers, Revolution is set to be spellbinding as well as defying the status quo of contemporary music.

Tims observation of We The People is that we talk a good talk about peace, but take little or no action to achieving this goal and that the time is now, to look beyond reality TV and the numbing of our minds. He stresses that our icons are that of tabloid stars and the upper crust of society. This record Revolution, introduces his ideas of bringing back a time where change was a mind set and the aspiration was a nonviolent approach to peace. This concept fills the air with the track, Driftwood Angel.

Influenced by Martin Luther King Jr. and his voyage for amity, he expresses our need to love our enemy and to practice acts of selflessness. Revolution stimulates this idea and brings lyrics back to music and warmly grabs hold, not letting go until his message is heard.

Revisiting the past has been a focus for me these days, claims Tim. I went back and re-read George Orwells 1984 and this time around it meant something different. I decided to write a song about it.

Music re-visitation has also been a theme for Tim and taking that concept to vinyl of the past and absorbing it as it spins in full revolution. Nowadays, he feels we need to take the time to open our eyes to whats going around us and that survival demands that we do so. The first track to be released of off Revolution titled World War, you can be aware of what he means.
