Unfamiliar Ceilings brings together an eclectic mix of artists and with them their complex sounds and inventive interpretations. The album invites you to listen to the talent of Katabatik artists, Nommo Ogo with their âChthonic soundscapes and rhythmsâ and Topaapobwaii whose music has been best described as âthe soundtrack for dissociative schizophrenia. â The debut release from Tear also features Sote who represents Warp records as well as Octavius with a track from his new album âAudio Noirâ recently released by Mush. Octavius conveys his own distinct sound that ranges from subtle ambiance to explosive rage.

Also included are Tears artists Upside-down Umbrella whose purely entrancing textures create a delightful blend of electronic and acoustic sound, Sikl who can only be described as dark and perverse, and Proyecto Triste who manipulates abstract textures to create an elaborate blend of â intoxicating soundâ.
