There is a journey - one that every soul takes, over and over as it spirals back Home. It is the journey of the spirit, of rising awareness, of awakening consciousness.

Track 1: Journey to Desert Heart

Winds of illusion cloak the vision of the seeker. Engrossed in life, the seeker wanders, dances and plays, experiencing the depths and fullness of life.

Deep within, a call is heard and a fleeting vision of another Way is revealed. As the vision fades the quest begins.

Through the mists of unreality, below the veils the seeker hears another rhythm. Guided by angelic voices, she travels through desert landscapes, the voices call, the voices speak - drawing her onward.

Slowly the seeker surrenders and peace descends.


Track 2: Outer Sanctum - the Heart of the Mother

Consciousness unfolds as the seeker awakens in the clear light of the Outer Sanctum.

The Mother approaches. She holds him in Her heart, awaiting the journey to the Inner Sanctum of the Heart. Her gentle hands enfold and heal, Her voice caresses as She lifts the veils.

Purified and healed, he waits.


Track 3: Inner Sanctum

The door opens, the fiery heart is revealed. The seeker is bathed in the effulgent light of unconditional Love.

Within the Heart of All the universe unfolds, the universe is revealed.

The seeker is Home. Love is All There Is.

Journey to Desert Heart was, amongst other things, inspired by my trip to Uluru (Ayers Rock) in the centre of Australia. I love the central Australian desert, and used, especially the organ sound to convey the warmth, and the female voices and the strings to convey the purity that I experience in that desert.

The atmosphere in this place seems charged with potency, electricity. I tried to convey this in the first piece by introducing, about 6 minutes into the piece, an effect sound together with a piano pattern in 7/8 tempo - to convey a sense of dynamic movement.
