If you could describe Virginya Gray in one word, it would be firey. She has not only been singing for as long as she can remember but she plays guitar, piano, and loves writing and producing her own songs. Her stage presence is like no other and the passion this young singer has for music and life in general is just so invigorating. Music is the language she speaks and V wants to learn as many instruments and styles as possible, she most recently started playing the trumpet like one of her many influences, Louis Armstrong.
In the past few years Virginya has gotten to travel to New Orleans, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, and the Lake of the Ozarks to perform in various shows. She doesnât really like to label music but Miss Gray is mostly a soul singer, who does r&b, jazz, hip hop, some pop, and a little reggae. In St. Louis she was known as a Genesis House coffee shop regular performer before itâs doors were closed in summer of â05 and has been known to work with their entertainment company, A Lilâ Sumthin Sumthin LLC. They released a compilation album titled âMessageâ in the fall of 2005 and Miss Grayâs first single titled âThe Dreamerâ was a featured song.
She also wrote and produced her first self released album "Livin the Dream" as the first real kick onto the local scene back in the winter of 2005, But she calls it more of a demo album that anything. V's most recent album Sweet Music has taken her sound even further as a look deeper inside. She wants to do some touring and is offering her album to a larger market in order to broaden her horizons.
