Formed in the mountains of Southern California, evolving from weekly Celtic jam sessions, âWake the Bardâ has become a force. Slowly but surely, a core group of talented musicians came together to perform at pubs, parties, special events, and sessions all around the region.
The group plays a variety of unique instruments, which include a harmonium, hammered dulcimer, tri-cone resonator guitar, mandolin, fiddle, acoustic guitars, harmonica, and bodhran.
From the fast harmonium fingering on Galway Hornpipe, fancy hammered dulcimer playing on Kid on the Mountain, to the mandolin and vocals on Walk in the Irish Rain, this CD is joy to play.
