As a hip-hop collective in the the Washington metropolitan area since the early nineties, 13th Floor has existed in many forms ultimately morphing in a two man supergroup reminiscent of Black Star. Although Vi-Cee (pronounced like hi-c), and the original founder and mc, Krayola, would never agree to the term rapgroup, the dynamic duo does team up to offer the world a show case of lyrical talent. Standing on the powerful production of the mighty Krayola, The Floor rips through 15 heaters with relative ease. Peppered with help from their extended family Shin-Q and Mr. Free, 13th Floor's first release Along Time Coming will definitely have people checking for DC hiphop. Although they had performed in the same underground circuit for years and were acquainted with each other, Vi-cee and Krayola had never formally worked together. After a tumultuous split with his group AF, Vi-cee had contemplated quitting the rap game. Little did he know, Krayola was in a similar situation. After a chance meeting in the restaurant Jasper's, they both decided to meet in order to discuss the prospects of doing some music. That meeting blossomed into several songs recorded and shows performed. And now after 2 years the world waits no longer, it's been Along Time Coming.
