The Golden Year formed in 2003 when I started writing some songs on a 4 track machine. I convinced my best friend Allen Anderson to lay down some Key parts. Since then, the band has grown and shrank in members a number of times. We have a champion-guitarist named Kris Staples who has really been adding to the dynamic. The focus has always been on well-written songs. We try new and creative approaches to orchestration, and forging a sound that is unconventional and progressive, without being electronic (not that we frown on that). Recently we signed up with Green Grotto Records, and are in the studio at the moment recording an album we hope to be very proud of. Until then, enjoy the E.P., and let us know what you think of the whole thing.
