His love for hip hop culture also led to an impressive array of experience within the music industry on an amateur level---including DJ'ing and hosting college radio hip-hop shows, hosting poetry sets and live performance shows in both upstate and downstate Illinois, entering several open mic and freestyle competitions throughout the Chicago land area, performing at various venues and events throughout Chicago land and recording several classic, unreleased hip hop projects.
