BIO:
Inner Demise was started in 2001 and was originally called Dischord. Drew was jamming at his house and a friend named Mark decided he was tired of just listening and wanted to start jamming as well. He bought a bass and an amp and started learning to play. Drewâs room-mate Bernie wasnât to be left behind so he bought drums and started learning to play as well. After many nights of partying and listening to Bern scream it was discussed, he took over as lead singer and another mutual friend of all three by the name of Jeff took up the drums. Prior to playing for Leahâs 21st birthday she jammed with us so she could play a song on the night of her birthday. Jeff eventually left the band and Leah took over as drummer. Brad was added to the mix after that night and was kicked out by Mark due to âattitudeâ differences. Drew eventually left Dischord because thatâs exactly what the band was⦠nothing but discord. One night after practice during a discussion of what to name the band since Dischord was Marks band name it finally came out⦠Inner Demise. Bernie unfortunately lost the heart for the band and quit. It was just Leah and Drew for the longest time. After much harassment we were finally able to convince Brad to rejoin us and the influence and talent he brings to the group simply canât be quantified. Some good friends of ours from Badgered were over one night and Beau asked if weâd care if he came for a few of our practices just to scream some lyrics and do a small side project. Of course we didnât mind and he has been with us ever since. Beau brings a vocal intensity and style that can be said to put the finishing touch on this very talented band. Leah is definitely the heart of the band, her multi-influence style on the drums bring some of the most insane timings to the music. Her musicianship is astonishing. Brad has a style that is as hard and aggressive as it is varied and comes from his desire to be a student of his instrument and play the music that he loves. Drew brings his own unique feel to the music and to his guitar playing that is heartfelt and deeply emotional. All these unique and talented musicians came together over time in an obscure little town in Nebraska called Ogallala. Inner Demise wouldnât be what it is without each of its members, all talented each in their own way but⦠Inner Demise is something deep, powerful and certainly something greater than the sum of itâs parts because of the passion and love for the music that each brings to the group.
