The Brand (Miami, FL) is an energetic power-pop/electronic foursome consisting of Omar Garcia (Guitar/Vocals,) Leo Valencia Bass/Vocals,) Bianca Pupo (Keyboard/Vocals,) and Juan Ona (Drums.) Formed in early 2003, the band has gained regional success appearing in a Burdines/Macy's commercial, getting video airplay on MUN2 for their self-produced video "Xmas Day," and completing three- two week long tours. Their first EP released in February 2003 was named one of the ten best independent releases of 2003 by Street Miami.

Influenced by the music of The Cure, The Wannadies, and The Beatles, The Brand is in the studio finishing up their second EP scheduled for completion in June of 2004. The first single, "Screaming Hearts," which is a blend of the group's catchy melodies and tight harmonies mixed with edgy synth lines earned them a publishing deal with Pure Tone Music (BMI) in New York, NY. The Brand looks forward to performing in fall NACA showcases amid heavy touring to increase their fan base.
