Jessica Tivens, a twentysomething opera singer, has never been one to conform. From her pro debut at age 8 on CBS' Star Search, her poise and charm shone through. Over the years, Ms. Tivens has dedicated herself to the study and perfection of many different vocal genres and colors. As an opera singer, she has studied under some of the greatest classical musicians in the world; from Christa Ludwig and Warren Jones to Marilyn Horne. In the crossover and pop fields, Ms. Tivens has worked with David Foster, Josh Groban, Michael Crawford and many more. Her most notable collaboration has been with piano legend Mike Garson, who has produced this album. Ms. Tivens and Mr. Garson have always striven in their work, both separate and together, to provide their audience with true and inspirational art that is heartfelt and soulful. Now, here in this recording, the fruits of their labor are put forth. This album is a celebration of music's wonderful possibilities; of the artist's drive to create, and most importantly, a young vocalist's dream.
