About the album: This album is a tribute to who I used to be. Itâs not that I am not that person anymore, as I am a little, but the songs here are a representation of the thoughts Iâve had over the course of my life. People have asked me why I named this cd âEnjoy the Sadness,â as it sounds like an oxymoron. How does one enjoy that which makes him or her sad? Iâm a very nostalgic person and I enjoy looking back on things that Iâve done, where Iâve been. The thing is, I remember a lot of unhappy times and I realize that I have spent most of my life feeling unfulfilled, feeling sad about not having things that I thought I deserved. At the same time I am able to look back on those times and realize why I felt sad and I why I felt I was lacking things, and it makes me feel good to know that I can look back on those times not with a sense of guilt, but with an understanding that I no longer have to feel sad because I know better now of how to improve my life. In that way I can âenjoy the sadness,â and I hope that when you hear these songs you too will be able to look back on your life and enjoy learning about who you were, and in turn, enjoy your own sadness.
