L.I.F.E. Love Is For Ever..
JewelryEntertainmentEnterprises

A hip hop artist has the potential to raise conciousness and activate political activity in this country. The rapper of today has the potential to do what the preacher and the activists did in the 60's and 70's.
With the album entitled "L.I.F.E Love Is For Ever Jewelz takes you to different places as he has been. You will hear the enthusiasm and excitement that was put into the project. It is not an east coast or a west coast album, or anywhere in between. It is a global perspective, as the world is getting smaller we find that issues overseas can still affect us here and vice versa.
L.I.F.E. Love Is For Ever starts with the love for the music....which is for ever. As true artists do, they make music until they die e.g the Bob Marley's, the Ray Charles and the Fela Kuti's of our era. With songs like "Jewelzdaride" Jewelz talks about Nigeria, the corruption and the politics, the gruesome realities that stain his country. Inspired by the Biafra civil war in the 1940's Jewelzs recalls in his own words...."I remember my mom telling me stories of how she was pregnant with my sister and was carrying my brother on her back, ducking from bombs and bullets. It was genocide, tribe against tribe, just like we see the bloods vs crips here, but on a more massive scale.
On tracks like "She he makes you visualize her in her beauty and ambience...Pot Belly tells his own tale adding a twist, giving you the Yin and Yang of "She." Other songs like "City Life tells tales of any metropolitan city...the pollution, drugs, single parenthood and the lack of education. No matter the dilemna love is the ultimate healer. On "Love 4 u" words are emotions, with the help of Maju crooning on the hook.
Even the darkerside of the album Jewelz learned that everything happens for a reason. Bad things happen to show us the light, so really it wasn't bad at all. The album gets darker on tracks like "Highway called life" when all of a sudden everything that was learned had to be unlearned to move forward, the song came to Jewelz in a dream. "2016" was an experiment that worked, featuring MC Bose, Japan meets Africa in this collaboration.
With the epic CD jewelz attempts to capture every feeling 'L.I.F.E' has to offer so depending on your mood there is something for each listener. With this epic cd jewelz hopes that it will bring balance to his audience!

Jewelzdagod (born, Anthony Okwudiri Ehirim, July 30, 1978) is a Neo-Soul, Hip-Hop, and World Music artist. His origin, a small village in Nigeria called Ubakuru, Mbieri. Even though people lived in mud houses with zinc roofs, and some traveled by bicycle while others traveled by foot on dirt roads, everyone was connected with nature and their spirit. As a young child Jewelz traveled a lot, experiencing first hand the beauty and unrest the world had to offer. Growing up in dangerous places like Israel and Pakistan, Jewelzdagod witnessed terrorist bombings in crowded shopping malls and guerilla warfare. As early as two yrs old Jewelz was desensitized, watching countless acts of terror.

Realizing the Middle East was too volatile a place for such an impressionable child, his family moved to Cyprus, a small island in Europe between Greece and Turkey. In Cyprus, Jewelz encountered many musical influences; from Rock to Pop, Hip-Hop to Indian music, and African jingles. He loved the musical mélange but admired the Hip-Hop artist in America. So while living on an island sold on pop and techno music, Jewelzdagod began DJ'ing at the "Elizabethan" , igniting Hip-Hop in the hottest nightclub in Nicosia, Cyprus. Soon emceeing and DJ'ing became more than a hobby; it became a love and a passion.

Like Miles Davis, Jewelzdagod used school as a means to get him closer to his dreams. After experiencing so much of Hip-Hop's influence overseas, coming to America was a dream come true. While attending the University of North Carolina he met a group of 5 Per Centers who exposed him to a diverse ideology. Jewelz built with the Gods and mastered the 120 Lessons. It was in America where Anthony was christened Jewelzdagod. The fire was lit, taking a sabbatical from his studies Jewelz moved to the city where Hip-Hop lives, NYC. New York was Hip-Hop from the walk to the talk. North Bronx is where Jewelz cultivated and built on his rhymes. His receptiveness to all styles of music and his desire to educate while entertaining aided Jewelzdagod in creating his own sound.

By 2002 Jewelzdagod found himself in Los Angeles to complete his degree at the request of his parents. Determined to stay the course of his dream, Jewelz started to perform at various hot spots in L.A. like the Knitting Factory, El Cid, and the Temple Bar. Los Angeles brought much opportunity for Jewelzdagod, which he seized by starting an independent label, Jewelry Entertainment, and releasing his first Album L.I.F.E. (Love Is For Ever) in 2004. L.I.F.E. was an independent success with hits like " Love for U"- a lyrically beautiful ode to a ladylove, "City Life"- Jewelzâs take on living in the "Big City" and "She" â an anecdote about "SHE" from different perspectives. With hits so enthralling the underground was left yearning for him. A following was fostered as he was invited to perform on underground circuits like Frequencing All Star Jam, Smooth Sounds Showcase, Activate LA and The Urban Underground and open for artists like The Souls of Mischief, The Visionaries, Mykah 9 and more. An activist by nature, it was foreseeable that he would also be asked to perform at events like "Seeds of Knowledge"- a show dedicated to saving the South Central Farm in Los Angeles and put on venues like "Cultural Therapy" -an independent artist showcase sponsored by Jewelry Entertainment where awareness was raised for the ongoing genocide in Sudan.

In 2007 jewelzdagod is looking to release his sophomore album "Rebel Soul". This album is a double album, disc one being the Rebel side and disk two being the Soul side. It is passion and endurance, music, spoken word, poetry and song. The title track is melodic and directly calls out the Rebel Souls. With Jah Voice gracing the hook, it is a rare classic. Songs like "U made me" is for the soul rebel, those that don't know or cannot pinpoint exactly where their frustration is comming from. Other titles like "Its Solo" simply expresses how every person has to carry their own weight. This sophomore album is more soulful with production from Kai Chi prod,Adapt the Architect, Moorish Daze music, and Zestone prod. A Myka 9 production on "She part 2" is only meant to be, Joseph Leimberg who has done tracks for Snoop Dogg also lends a hand in providing the beat for "Venting". Tracks like "All Day" and "Baltimore" touch on relationship scenario's, but perhaps the gem on the album is "Nigeria" which is recorded in jewelz's native language Ibo.Rebels Souls wake up..
