Making music is my way to leave a mark in this world, to have an impact on other people. This album, to me, represents a clearer picture of who I can be, as a writer, as a musician, as a human being. I guess that's why I decided to do all the tracks myelf. Hopefully that doesn't come across as selfish, but what you hear is just me. That alone gives me a real sense of accomplishment, and something tangible to leave behind.

I suppose the general concept of 'Ride' is the idea of going to that happy place, or existence in which you can be who you came here to be. I know now more than ever that I am here to make music, and if other people enjoy it too, then my satisfaction from it multiplies!

The songs on 'Ride' are a mixture of some very recent music, written within the past few months before going into the studio, and some others that have evolved to their current form in over a decade's time. I think because of that mixture, the record feels well rounded and complete.
