âDo we really need another punk rock band? If said band is The Fabulous Kildonans, youâre damn right we do, bub. Starring singer-guitarist Fat Johnny, drummer Sterling and ubiquitous bassist and punk legend Mark Stretch Mark, the Kildonans are one of the few bands around that deserve their Fabulous designation. And weâre not talkinâ in some Designer Guys sense (though we do approve of their red shirts and ties). Weâre talking fab in the garage-punksense- and that means searing guitar riffs, a propulsive and spot-on rhythm section, lyrics with a healthy dose of dumbbell humor, vocals that are snotty enough to be contagious, and urgent four-chord anthems that simultaneously swear allegiance to punk (without devolving into cliche) and rock out (without succumbing to self-parody). Fabulous? Absolutely, brother.â
