Spawned in downtown New York City, Killa beatz is a live band that blends rock, rap, dancehall and metal in a totally original way. Drawing inspiration from street culture such as grafitti, hip-hop and high-end street wear, among other things, this band is about having fun while breaking down the boundaries that separate music and fans.

Band members think there is enough separation and conformity in music and the world in general. Killa Beatz is about bringing people together, playing music that¹s from the heart and not selling out to negativity or conformity: members of the band that are as different as could be: a hip-hop lovin' Midwest-raised lead singer and guitarist, a Puerto Rican drummer with a mohawk from Brooklyn, a painter by day and backup singer by night from Canada, and a rockstar/nerd bass player from the suburbs of Massachusetts.

Street culture is as real as it gets, and Killa Beatz is at the forefront of this evolution from slavery to cliques and mass media to freedom of expression. This energy inspires their music, insane shows, original fashion and all that they do. It's an inspiration that has led them to make their own soundtrack to the future revolution, starting with the ten-song album "Stay Strong," which the band recorded with producer/mixer Josh Chervokas (Tu-Pac, Mobb Deep.) Still, the ultimate proof of this band's power: their 100 live performances which are energetic and powerful, always unpredictable and never taking themselves too seriously.
