Latigo is a trio of musicians that bring the romance of the rural Western lifestyle together with a contemporary folk and Western music sound in a genuine heartfelt sound with masterful musicianship. The combined talents of Ken Stevens (guitar, vocals, and song writer), Monica Anderson (bass, vocals) and Kevan Paul (fiddle, mandolin, vocals) create a sound that can entertain audiences of any age and from any place. Latigo seeks to share a creative and exciting Western music experience.
All are members of the Western Music Association and the Academy of Western Artists. They have grown up playing with a variety of musical groups. They now bring their collective talents together to form the new Western group LATIGO.
The members of this group have been recognized nationally and performed on various CDâs. Latigoâs current CD ,âRidinâ â, has been ranked in the Top Ten Western Music Albums by the Sunset Information Service, nominated for âWestern Music Album of the Yearâ by the Academy of Western Artists, and two songs from the album were also nominated by the Academy for âSong of the Yearâ in 2005.
