Amy is the bass player and one of two lead singers in this band. In fact, Amy paid for the CD by taking part in an egg donation program for infertile couples. So, right now, there are a pair of twins and a little boy walking around Seattle with Amy as their biological mother. The pay's good and it financed the CD and a trip to Nashville. Now that's commitment to the band.
That's rock and roll.
Amy's been influenced by the strangest things. She loves the Beatles, of course, and Hank Williams (the first and third). She also had a thing for Gram Parsons.
That said, Amy loves to rock out, too. Her song "Beauty Queen" is about those women on magazines and TV shows that make her ooooo, so jealous. It leads off the Doin' It! CD. And she's pretty dang good at those explicit songs, like "Let's Come Together." You get the picture.
Scott's the guitar player in the band. He thinks the world of Amy. Scott and Amy share songwriting. It's a wild ride. Songs are part of the relationship, almost in a "call and response" kind of way.
