As a young boy MESSENGER had already a sense of social problems, wars, famines and the ruthless destruction of the environment. Inspired and influenced by the ex-Beatle John Lennon and Bono (U2), he wrote socially critical songs as a teenager. May to November 2006 he produced his debut CD IMPRESSIONS OF A STRANGE CENTURY with the guitarist, drummer and graphic designer X-RAY-SIMON. IMPRESSIONS OF A STRANGE CENTURY includes lively pop-rock-songs as well as melancholy ballads with string arrangements and catchy melodies. Instead of causing any doomsday atmosphere the songs have a positive but socially critical outlook on this 21st century from the point of view of an alien of the 17th century. He takes a stand on contemporary problems and eventually he calls all human beings to unite and fight for a better millenium, so that "all colours can melt into one".

SINA BERRY - SINGER (BORN IN 1981 IN BERLIN)

As a teenager SINA was already fond of singing. At school friends and classmates admired her talent. During a school outing Sina decided: "Singing is the real thing".

During a live concert in winter 1999 Sina appeared on stage for the first time. An audience of more than 2000 people listened to the "a capella"- versions of two cover songs she sang spontaneously. The voice and the charm of the 18 years old singer moved the passionately applauding audience. She got an encore.

Afterwards Sina worked as guest singer in many popular bands and she had the opportunity to gain experience in renowned studios.

Since september 2003 she has been on tour in Southern Germany as the lead singer of a rock band. In no time Sina became popular due to her magnificent voice and her nice manner. Her fans applauded at more than 300 live concerts she gave open-air as well as in halls and tents.

Via internet Sina Berry's management got in touch with the songwriter and producer Messenger, who lives in Frankfurt. The subject, lyrics and compositions of Messenger's debut CD IMPRESSIONS OF A STRANGE CENTURY were suited to Sina's needs as an experienced studio singer looking for new opportunities and challenges. They first met in September 2006 and in October/November 2006 Sina's vocals of IMPRESSIONS OF A STRANGE CENTURY were recorded at Headbeat Studio Multimedia in Frankfurt.



JÜRGEN SÖRUP - PIANIST, COMPOSER AND SOUND DESIGNER

Jürgen Sörup took his first piano lessons at the age of 6, taught by his mother, the concert pianist Leonore Auerwald. At the age of 10 he got the second award during a piano competition at Frankfurter Volksbildungsheim. Sörup studied at the college of music and performing art in Frankfurt, where he was taught by professor Joachim Volkmann and passed his exam. (Main subject: piano).

He has been teaching as piano lecturer at the academy of music in Darmstadt for a long time and started composing music about 15 years ago, preferring the neoclassical-chromatic style. He also arranges songs in different recording studios in Germany and composes songs suited to the needs of singers, being well versed in very different music styles.
