Music has been at the center of my life for as long as I can remember.I started playing the violin at the age of four and grew up studying classical music. Around the time I was finishing up high school and preparing for college I picked up the guitar and taught myself how to play a few chords. Over the course of the next several years I worked on finding my voice and developing a writing style. In love with a wide spectrum of musical tastes and genres, I let them all find their way into my music. My influences range from the roots blues of Taj Mahal to the classic rock of the Beatles, Bob Dylan and Led Zepplin to the adventurous sounds of Wilco, Radiohead, Ben Harper and Morphine and even the live band hip-hop of The Roots and Spearhead. Fully believing in the influence of not only powerful music but intelligent lyrics with substance I put a great deal of emphasis on writing with a purpose. There is no better feeling in this world than immersing yourself in the moment of musical creation in front of a live audience. I hope to be doing it for many years to come. Thanks for listening.
