What do you get when you have an individual who is outgoing, aggressive, eager, and motivated mixed with humor, style, and crunk? Avi, Avi, Avi. Thatâs what youâll hear when you turn on any one of his hot tracks that sounds ahead of raps time. Born to the streets of Cincinnati, OH, Mario Payne is a quick-witted, opinionated producer taking whatever steps necessary to ensure the music industry wonât regret letting him get his foot in the door.

Among his five brothers and one sister, Avi is literally the best of both worlds- from growing up in hardship to crossing over into the greater Cincinnati suburbs. Yet, what sets his story apart from other artists and producers who often share the redundant stories about their struggle is that for his small 5â6 figure, many have underestimated him and his work ethic. He learned at an early age that if you have goals, to stick with them no matter the cost. This in turn briefly led him to hustling illegally, being expelled from high school, and running with the wrong influences.

Aviâs brother, along with other friends offered him suggestions of moving in a more positive direction. Thus, he focused most of his frantic energy towards sports such as basketball and soccer, and after graduating high school, he joined the military and was stationed in Kuwait for two years.

Prior to his departure, he started to gain an interest in producing music, and once he returned to the US attended Tennessee State University where he began to emerge himself in the art. Working his way from the CakeWalk software to the MPC, he let the influences of artists such as Do or Die, Biggie, and Juvenile ring in his head as he molded his tracks. But the most influential factor in perfecting his craft came along through the bassy, crunk, fast-paced sound of the south. He states, âThe south music appealed to me because of the bounce and crunk. It just excited my mood!â Avi fell in love with his new experience in his second home of Nashville. He explains, âTheir whole walk, talk and laidback state of mind helped to expand my views, and their sense of respectâ. This is what taught him never to judge a book by its cover.

Between working with the likes of Cash Money Records recording artist Yo Gotti, Nashvilleâs own All-Star, and his personal mentor Wu, whom has worked with Murder INC. and Kentuckyâs SlaughterHouse Music, Avi has also been traveling effortlessly throughout the country to network with others in the music industry. The summer of 2004 he attended the annual Dynamic Producers Conference of which he is also a member, in New York. Then, spring of 2005 he visited Los Angeles to network within the film industry. And if this isnât enough, he still has his hands full from being Chief Operations Officer of Blaze 4 Glory Music Group overseeing all music production on a daily basis.

When you hear one of Aviâs beats, it is guaranteed to grab your attention everytime. He has come with an original, uptempo excitement that sounds way ahead its time. âIâm striving to create a new sound!â he proclaims. He is currently working on the follow up to Blaze 4 Gloryâs debut compilation, âUrban Glory Vol. 1â. After his word of mouth alone sold 2,000 copies at TSU, he entitles his next project, âAviâs How to Create a Buzzâ.
