Blake Brewer and Chase Caillouette began playing together during free time at school. The two would play cover songs, with Chase singing and Brewer playing guitar. Brewer and Chase both worked independently on their songwriting skills, and then joined to produce their first album, "Jokes for Birds" in 2005.
