I first picked up a guitar while I was still at school. I remember driving my family crazy while I tried to learn to play it. I started with a rhythm & blues band which had more enthusiasm than skill. I next moved to a Hawaiian trio where I learned to play chords properly.

From there I spent most of my playing career with dance bands playing 40âs style music, but you canât take the rock out of my soul, so I started writing heavy rock in the small hours.

I finally started doing solo work in pubs and wine bars where I played mostly pop and standards, but I discovered I could do country music. I work today as a solo artist, and with an occasional band called Half-a-Crown or 2/6 in old money. My first album Tuesday Morning is a collection of various songs written over the years that I like.
