Details:
It was bound to happen sooner or later. An album so complete in its awesomeness that the team behind the long running, globally-distributed punk periodical Altercation would be forced to initiate a record label simply for the sake of putting out a release of such magnitude. Blase Debris' Creep Cool is that album. A sound harkening back to the classic punk landscape of Generation X, an image crafted from the shadows of the Damned, a 1950's harmonic tinge as darkly perfected as anything in the Misfits' catalog, all tied together into a Phil Spector Wall-of-Sound production approach...it is a feat of sonic mastery, that rare gem among stones - virtually a perfect album.

The songs are impossible to deny; from the metal-tinged chug of 'Port of the Damned' to the subtley lethal pop hooks hidden within 'Collecting Stares', from the punk balladeering of 'Cold Like Me' to the epic, monsterously genre-defying album closer 'Bride of Valentine', 'Creep Cool' offers salvation for the punk faithful at long last.

Formed in 2002, Blase Debris has dominated the Albany, New York punk scene since its inception. Fronted by the incomparable singer Duane Beer (former vocalist for NY legends Trauma School Dropouts, who in their heyday had groups like U.S. Bombs open for them), the group has shared the stage with a diverse who's who of the classic and contemporary underground scene, including U.K. Subs, Gogol Bordello, Throwrag, Wasp, Joe Coffee and more.

The band recently completed a headlining three week national tour, including a SXSW showcase in Austin, Texas that attracted National Public Radio, a film crew from the BBC and podcast pioneers Morphius, as well as meet-and-greet moments with the likes of Keith Morris (Black Flag / Circle Jerks) and David Byrne (Talking Heads). In late February 2006 the band entered a NJ studio to lay down new tracks for Altercation Records' 666 Rarities LP, all produced by Michale Graves from Misfits.

Featuring original album cover art by east coast tattoo legend Cookie, Creep Cool is hands down the best punk record in years. 2007 stands to be a banner year for the horror punk legends, as WEQX commercial Alternative radio in Vermont has recently begun spinning the song 'Jersey Devil', the band's video for 'Cold Like Me' continues to be a favorite on YouTube.com and summer tour dates with the likes of Ducky Boys, The Business and The Unseen are all on the horizon. Also on the horizon is the long awaited NEW video for single 'Collecting Stares', shot on high definition film and featuring a huge cast of monsterous extras. 'Creep Cool' - get it before it gets you!
