It was the year 1999 (as you can deduce from the name club99) when Robert, Patrick and Chris, three young friends from the roundabouts of Bolzano (I), decided to play ska music and began forming what was to become the very first ska band in the history of their own home country South Tyrol, (Italy).
Today the band counts 8 musicians: Lead vocal, guitar, bass, drum, trumpet, alto-sax, tenor-sax and keyboard).

In december 1999 the band performed the first live show, and it was a big success. Thanks to the songs, which invite everyone to dance and the vibrant, energetic live show, Club99 became a well known name in the music-scene of South Tyrol.
In the following years Club99 succeeded in exporting their music out of the own homecountry, many concerts in Italy and in foreign countries followed.
During the last 5 years Club99 plays about 150 concerts in Italy, Austria, Germany,Switzerland, Slovenia, Hungary and France, sharing the stage with bands like The Slackers, Mr.Review, Mark Foggo, Fermin Muguruza, Skaos, Donots, Meganoidi, Persiana Jones, Arpioni and many others.

The year 2002 brought the first album of Club99 intitled âTaxi Driverâ. 13 ska songs flavoured with dub, reggae, punk and latin elements. This CD was released and presented at the 2nd edition of the xmas-ska-festival in December 2002 in Bolzano (Italy) and during that memorable evening more than 200 copies were sold.

At the end of the year 2004 Club99 released their second album âLife Skafariâ. 12 songs including 2-tone ska and rocksteady, dub and swing.
