DAVID KAV'S JOURNEY THUS FAR:
David Kav is continuing to travel down the same long, twisting, bumpy road that he's been traveling down for years. However, David's travels have become a lot smoother lately. As the old adage dictates, "It's not the destination - it's the journey." With that being said, thank you for taking the time out to visit and to peruse this bio and this page on CD Baby. :o)

David has been "bit by the bug" to perform and to sing ever since he was 6 years old. He has been feeding that hunger since the age of 10 by performing in various church, community, grammar and high school shows, productions, speech contests, assemblies, show choirs and the like. David has been seen in many stages and coffeehouses in Chicago and the outlying suburbs as well as Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, Killeen, TX, Temple, TX, Youngsport, TX, Copperas Cove, TX, Culver, IN, and so forth.

After completing a brief, 3-year tour of duty in the United States Army in 2001, David knew deep down in his heart that he had to compose and to perform music. So, he became serious about it and proceeded to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Performance from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2004. During his time at U.I.C, David would assume the role of bassist and lead vocalist in the hard rock band All Things Considered.

After recording a demo with the aforementioned band and a few gigs later, David realized that he was longing to record and to compose the type of music that he learned to play while he was growing up. At this time, David recruited All Things Considered drummer Nik Wielgus and vocalist Kelly Yacono to record a multi-layered, acoustic folk rock demo as a side project known as Kampus Project.

Due to overbearing demands and stalking on David's part (yes, David fully admits this at this point of the game), Kampus Project had a very short-lived life. Along with that, many a song became shelved at that point.

Two to three years later, David realized that Kampus Project was really an overglorified solo project to begin with. Therefore, David dusted off the old recordings and added some new compositions which led to "Look Into My Eyes." This will be David's first album and major release. David is extremely excited that his major dream has become a reality.

Thank you for reading this! Have a great day!

Yours truly,
David Kav
