Born in City Hickory, North Carolina, young Dirty became engulfed with Rap music after hearing his peers bump the latest tunes by Rap legends, RUN DMC, Eric B. & Rakim, EPMD, Big Daddy Kane, Public Enemy & NWA. After initially becoming a fan, Dirty Black soon became aware of where is future lay.
Dirty Black started rapping in High School. Upon graduation Dirty Black honed his lyrical beat-downs while receiving 2 Bronze Stars for Meritorious Service as a soldier in the Army during the Iraq War. After being stationed in Germany while in the Army, Dirty Black decided to live there and has been credited for being one of the leaders of the German Underground Hip-Hop scene.

Dirty Black has laced tracks with producer âSkiâ (Jay-Z) and MC Kwiss (North Carolina). Dirty Black has held his own while opening for superstars Jay-Z (Jam FM Concert/Cologne, Germany), Outkast & Goodie Mob (Stuttgart, Germany), Naughty By Nature, O.C. & Camp Lo (Songhai Street Festival), Blahzay Blahzay, Group Home and Diamond Dee in front of audiences reaching 15,000 strong.
