"Separately we are two very unique musicians who enjoy all kinds of music. Collectively we try to create music that embraces all kinds of music. We feel that many artists these days are too locked into their own genre. We also focus on creating the unexpected. There is too much area to explore to go with the beaten path (and it is soooo beaten). Our first release [Organic EP] is a very narrow example of our general style. It focuses largely on our jazz side, with a few glimpses of our love for electronic music, and more than a few sprinkles of world influence. Future LPs will feature any genres we find interesting. In everything we do we feel improvisation is an incredibly important part of music and also that music is best enjoyed live."

Chris Narainen, Drums - Born in Mauritius Chris Narainen grew up around African and Indian beats in a circle of friends that included a variety of djembe and percussion players. While in his home country he spent time playing in local metal fusion acts which may account for his lightning speed. Since his move to the US he has rediscovered jazz, a genre he always had interest in. His sound is a mix between many different cultures but his sound creates another world. His playing is always evolving but a few things always remain the same. He always strives for new territory, and isn't afraid to leave the comfort zone to work up for the big payoff. No matter how far he strays from the path he always comes back and it always sounds crazy. In the duo setting there is a focus on collectively exploring new territory in real time and controlling the exploration to the extent where a tight group sound is achieved.

Alex Russo, Keyboards - Born in Boston Massachusetts Alex Russo grew up around classical music. Since he can remember he was listening to music every day. At 4 years old he convinced his parents to let him have violin lessons. At 8 he moved on to piano and hasn't looked back since. His teenage years brought brief stints with both guitar and bass that expanded his overall understanding of American pop music. In recent years his horizons have expanded greatly, turning away from pop and favoring jazz. He is continually influenced by underground hip hop, all kinds of jazz, jam bands, bluegrass, and various world musics. His style reflects all these genres, as he draws from all of his influences. His classical training has prepared him for playing even the most complex melodies that his mind comes up with.
