NerveBag is for people who like to think, who like to laugh and who donât take themselves too seriously. The music can range from hard rock to techno to ballad-y stuff to jazz to⦠whatever. I donât subscribe to any particular genre, but it all has a certain âsound.â You know a NerveBag song when you hear it, and it WILL elicit SOME kind of emotion, whether itâs joy, anger, nostalgia, sadness or something else.

The song topics are interesting, the music is good, and the compilations stick in your head. Iâm not trying to emulate this or that popular band. I donât want to be famous. I just want a few people to say, âHey! Thatâs cool!â I write music because I like to write music, not because I want chicks or because I want to make a million dollars. Thatâs what independent music is all about.

Get off the major-label train. There are enough emo bands and dancing pop girls and rappers and pretentious âcauseâ bands. This is just music for the sake of music â as it should be, if you ask me. Open your mind, think outside the jewel case and give a poor indie rocker a chance. Donât buy my CD because I need a new Escalade in a different color. Buy my CD because itâs real, itâs pure, itâs heart-felt and itâs fun to listen to.

If youâre waiting for VH-1 or MTV to tell you you need to buy it⦠well⦠Iâm sorry. But if YOU know what you like, and YOU know what you want to buy, then Iâm proud of you. Consider yourself a member of the audio elite.

Hmmm⦠that would be a cool band name. The Audio Elite. Feel free to use that if you want it. I wonât sue you.
