Ever leave a concert walking on air, feeling so inspired, like the beauty of the music lifted you up? This is the power of song! Laureen Niamesny was very fortunate to feel this power day in and day out growing up in a home dominated by singing. Her mother was a voice teacher and maintains a studio today in Albuq., NM. At a young age, Laureenâs main focus was piano, but she was enchanting audiences in home productions of operas such as Hansel and Gretel. In her teens, Laureen concentrated on voice and received her primary classical instruction from her mother. These years saw Laureen singing professionally in a vast array of concerts, theatrical shows, and theme-park productions.

An exciting turning point occurred when Laureen landed a position with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines as a singer/dancer in lavish production shows. She went on to perform with Royal Caribbean, Holland America, and Radisson Cruise Lines in singing roles as diverse as âChristineâ in The Phantom of the Opera and âMolly Brownâ in The Unsinkable Molly Brown. Cruising proved to be a wonderful training ground for honing vocal skills and developing versatility. A moment to remember came while on a Mediterranean tour to the Theater at Epidaurus in Navplion, Greece. Said to be the home of Greek theater, the theater is famous for its natural acoustics. To the delight of tourists, Laureen demonstrated the amazing acoustics with some Italian arias and Broadway tunes!

Like the wonders of the ancient world, songwriting has opened up a wonderful new world for Laureen. Often constrained by directorâs visions and otherâs demands, now Laureen is free to sing what she desires and in the manner she chooses. This freedom of expression shines through on her unique first CD Free Again.
