Charles Perrin Entertainment in San Diego, California once dubbed Randy Wizek as possessing that much sought after âCalifornia Sound.â Kind of somewhere between Don Henley, Bob Seger and Vince Gill with the song writing sensibilities to match. Since 1988 he has worked as a Drummer/Vocalist and Guitarist/Vocalist in various settings:

⢠âIâm a drummer/vocalist first and foremost...Most cats want to be out front with a shiny ax in hand. Though that's pretty sweet too, Iâve always enjoyed driving the bands' rhythm section... and its challenging to sing while sitting down at the drums. A different mind set completely.â

⢠âI really enjoy playing guitar, and the rehearsal for every song whether a cover or an original, is a labor of love. Writing with an acoustic guitar usually, these songs herein represent the ten year period from 1993 to 2003. A lot of heartache but also a lot of inspiration went into each one. Unlike many songwriters I don't live each song, but there were some that I did: The love triangle of "Heartache Waltz" is but one example. But notice, it's a triangle that never comes to be. "Love of My Life" was written many months before composing as a "what if" scenario...What would it be like to be involved with someone that just took my breath away? I shelved the song and discovered it after a few months with a little surprise, then remembered my "what if" scenario. The song then composed itself in about 15 minutes.â

⢠âYeah... Iâve been pigeon-holed for sounding vocally, like that famous "Eagle" drummer/vocalist/songwriter. But if youâre going to be aligned with someone, why not him, right? As to our sounding similar, certainly not on all songs...and though flattering; itâs not a mimic job. It just comes out that way. As to a work/performance ethic, Henley has been a great role model, truth be told.â
