This cd, along with some of his previous ones, was produced by Phil Davis and out of all of the CD's that Reggie had recorded, this by far is the best; showcasing his musical ability and songwriting skills. Reggie Codrington is a native of Fayetteville, North Carolina, where he began to develop his interest in music. Reggie started the learning process by watching his dad, Raymond Codrington, an accomplished jazz trumpeter, who played with the famed JFK Quintet in the mid-1960's and numerous jazz and R&B artists like Roberta Flack, Gladys Knight, Little Richard, Patti Labelle, Wilson Pickett, Eddie Harris, James Brown, The Temptations, Ike and Tina Turner, and The Four Tops.
By age 14, Reggie picked up the saxophone and never let it go. Reggie's strong family ties and deep love for music have given him the strength and character needed to penetrate the music business and it's rather apparent...his talent is considerable, and his style, his own.
After years of performing in clubs and opening for such major artists including, Ramsey Lewis, The Manhattans, Glenn Jones, Thelonious Monk, Jr., and Betty Wright, his experiences have allowed him to absorb and learn from the greats, while staying true to his own style.
Reggie is working toward a bright future, where he is certain to captivate your heart and overwhelm you with his brilliant and passionate saxophone artistry.
