From the boroughs of Saskatoon, five young artists have created and molded their music into a sound that is synonymous with the Straight Faced Liars. Through countless late night practices and complaining phone calls from neighbors, to the awkwardness of the law pounding at the door, the Straight Faced Liars have emerged with a truly original sound of self written and produced songs that stay true to their alternate rock roots. The stir of their birth has grown into a wall of solid vocals and a driving stage show. The Straight Faced Liars have arrived.

Straight Faced Liars are a five piece band with Jesse Weiman on lead guitar and vocals, Jody Weiman on bass guitar and vocals, Andrew Boechler on drums and vocals, Garnet Lindsay on keyboard and guitar. Josh Grant rounds the band off perfectly as the front man.

After winning the Sasktel/Rawlco Radio Saskatchewan Star Search and it's $10'000 top prize, SFL released their acclaimed debut album "The Fall of Sweet City". The singles "White Summer Dress" and "Sweet City" have already experienced regular rotation on Saskatoon's top three radio stations, with "White Summer Dress" becoming one of the most requested songs in the history of Magic 98.3 FM. The album was produced and recorded by Ryan Andersen of Red Door Recording. Ryan has worked with such acts as Nickelback, Theory of a Deadman, Default, Hinder, Bo Bice, and many others. The album is conceptual, with all of the songs tied around a central theme. Rather than fall into line serving her own instinctual desires like so many others in her life, the young girl escapes to the deepest recesses of her mind.
