Familiar and not so familiar Celtic melodies featuring acoustic guitar and autoharp.
12 MP3 Songs
WORLD: Celtic, FOLK: Gentle
Details:
Ruah is an all instrumental CD with a definite Celtic feel. The title comes from the Hebrew word RUAH which means "The Spirit of the Wind Across the Face of the Waves."
The tune Ruah is a Solo Autoharp piece that was written on Cape Cod in July 1999. I had spent an evening sitting on a wall and eating blueberries with a wonderful friend. As I walked home this tune appeared in my head. The license plate on the friends car was the word RUAH. It just seemed right that the tune carry the same name.
Several years later my friend could no longer drive. After he gave away his car he gave me the license plate RUAH. I had him sign it and it now hangs proudly in my home.
The CD contains 4 solo autoharp pieces along with 8 solo guitar tracks.
Jeff Snow is a talented multi-instrumentalist who educates and entertains at the same time. He plays six and twelve string guitar, autoharp, Celtic bouzouki, mountain dulcimer and a real loud six string banjo. Jeff also plays the drums and a variety of other percussion instruments.
A skilled guitar player and teacher, Jeff was featured in the August 2006 issue of Acoustic Guitar Magazine.
