BIOGRAPHY

Pittsburgh native Tony Lee is not your typical singer-songwriter. With his soaring voice and passionate delivery bordering on the aerobic, he is a rockinâ one man band. Having fronted several different bands over the years, most recently TonyJones which he disbanded in 2003, Tony still maintains the persona of a rocker, even though he now performs most often as a solo artist.

Tonyâs original works range from heartfelt love ballads to straight-up rock nâ roll and his songs are driven by solid arrangements and hook-filled melodies. After a relatively short affair with a soprano sax, he has been committed to his passion for music since he picked up the guitar at age 15.

Performing in many of the regionâs finest venues âClub Café, Mr. Smallâs Theatre, the Chevy Amphitheatre and the Post Gazette Pavilion, Tony has opened for such diverse artists as ZZ Top, Marshall Tucker, Jeff Black, Chicago, The Monkees and Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers. He has also performed in local songwriter circles with people like Joe Grushecky, Rick Witkowski, Bill Toms and Carol Lee Espy. It is the give and take among the artists and the intimacy with the audience that makes these his favorite kind of performing experience.

His debut release âPocketâ has received great reviews and he is presently working on a follow-up effort.
